Lovely Wagner cast iron fat free fryer. It is akin to a shallow skillet griddle, with a “moat” of sorts around the outer cooking area presumably to collect any grease from cooking. It was manufactured in the 1940s by the Wagner Manufacturing Company in Sidney, Ohio.
The pan is 11″ in diameter and 1″ tall. It has an outer heat ring and it sits flat. The cooking surface is lovely. Milling marks are prominent on the cooking surface; I do not see signs of use to this pan. There is some color differential on the cooking surface; this will even out with additional heat and use. Please take a look at the photos.
The pan is marked on the bottom with the Wagner Ware stylized logo, SIDNEY -O- FAT FREE FRYER PAT. APPLD FOR and the product number 1102 D.
The pan has been cleaned to bare iron and heat-seasoned with one coat of Crisco vegetable shortening. It is ready for use and display!
