This is a particularly nice Wagner National skillet which was manufactured by Wagner between 1924 and 1945.
The skillet is marked on the handle with the number 9. On the bottom, it is marked NATIONAL, with the Wagner stylized logo in the middle, and the number 1359 C. The lettering is particularly crisp. It has an outer heat ring.
It measures 11″ in diameter. It doesn’t sit flat – there is noticeable movement – about a dime’s worth. This will still be a great cooker on all cooktops – just remember to pre-heat your pan.
The skillet is in remarkably good condition. There are some slight marks and scratches on the cooking surface, but nothing of particular note. It will smooth out with use and additional seasoning.
I cleaned this set to bare iron and seasoned it with one coat of our special mixture of coconut & canola oils, and beeswax. It is ready for use and display!
