This is what’s known as a Flat Bottom Kettle.
It was made by the Wagner Manufacturing Co in Sidney, OH from the 1890’s to around 1940. From the markings on the underside, I would estimate that this was made in the earlier years.
It is 6″ tall, and 8-1/4″ in diameter. It is marked “WAGNER SIDNEY 6” on the underside. The writing is faint.
The interior is gorgeous and looks almost unused. The usual scratches and pitting one finds on older pans is absent.
The exterior has signs of use – there is variation on surface texture and the underside has some wear & tear that obscures the writing. Please see the pictures.
This pan has been thoroughly cleaned, and heat seasoned with one coat of Crisco vegetable shortening. It is ready for immediate use or display!
