This No. 4 cast iron skillet was made by the Griswold Manufacturing Company in Erie, PA between 1944 and 1957. It features a grooved handle, and on the underside of the pan is “NO. 4”, the Griswold small logo, and “ERIE PA” underneath, with the pattern number “702 A”.
The No. 4’s are harder to find than the other sizes. We are happy to have this pan in our inventory!
This pan is 11 1/8″ long, including the handle. It is 7.75″ wide at the pouring spouts and 1.5″ high. The cooking surface is 5.5″ in diameter. This pan sits flat.
Grinding marks are visible on the interior walls. The cooking surface has a lovely glossy black patina. There are very light signs of use. There is some roughness on the underside of the pan. Please examine the photos. This pan will be a great cooker!
This pan has been heat seasoned with our special mixture of coconut and canola oils, and beeswax. It is ready for immediate use or display!
