We are excited to offer this gorgeous 12 cup brownie pan from Griswold with pattern number 947 – it’s not only difficult to find, it’s in excellent condition, and you’d never guess it’s nearly 100 years old!
Brownie pans like these were manufactured by the Griswold Manufacturing Company in Erie, PA from 1925 to the 1930’s. They are also known as golf ball pans, due to the shape of the cups.
There are six variations of this particular brownie pan (12 cups, with pattern 947) and this is variation #6, which is the most highly desired of the variations due to being fully marked.
This pan has the words “BROWNIE CAKE PAN NO 9 ERIE PA USA PAT’N., 947″ spread out across the cups on the underside of the pan. There are a couple of very superficial scratches on the top between the cups, but for those this would be a minty pan. It is perfect for display (and maybe a little boasting).
This pan is approx 10-1/4″ long and 7” wide.
This pan has been cleaned to bare iron, and seasoned with one coat of our special mix of coconut & canola oils, and beeswax. This pan is ready for immediate display or use!
