This stunning shallow skillet / skillet griddle was made by the Griswold Manufacturing Co in Erie, Pennsylvania in the 1930’s.
It features the Griswold block logo with “CAST IRON SKILLET GRIDDLE 108” above it, and “201 A” below. The markings are crisp and clear.
The cooking surface is 11″ in diameter, and sits as flat as a pancake!
This pan is just gorgeous. It seems to have had little to no use. The original grinding marks are prominent on the interior walls, and visible on the cooking surface. It has a gorgeous glossy, black patina with only very, very light signs of use.
There are a couple of superficial marks on the underside – but for these I would have called this a minty pan! There is also a little area of color variation on the cooking surface. This will even out with additional use and seasoning.
This gorgeous piece has been heat seasoned with one coat of our special mixture of coconut & canola oils, and beeswax.
It is ready for immediate use or display!
