This is a stunning pan.
Made by the Griswold Manufacturing Company in Erie, Pennsylvania, it’s the second-largest skillet made by Griswold (#20, the hotel skillet, is the largest).
This pan features an assist handle, a heat ring and the Griswold large block logo on the underside of the pan. Above the logo is “CAST IRON SKILLET 14” and underneath is “ERIE PA., U.S.A.” and the pattern number, which is 718. There is also a “2” on the underside of the handle. The writing is crisp and clear.
It measures 16-1/2″ across the pouring spouts and sits flat!
This skillet is in exceptional condition. The original grinding marks are prominent on both the interior walls and the cooking surface. This pan has had very little, if any use!
There is some mild variation in color on the underside, which is visible in certain light and a small area of slight variation in texture on the underside, near the “A” in “U.S.A.” There is also a casting mark on the exterior wall, likely from sands shifting in the mold during the casting process. These are all superficial, but I like to be thorough!
Please examine the photos closely by clicking on the magnifying glass. I have taken lots of pictures from different angles to show you all of the pan!
This pan has been thoroughly cleaned and seasoned with one coat of Crisco. It is ready for immediate use or display!
This pan comes with Free Shipping to the 48 contiguous states, and reduced shipping elsewhere!
