You’re never going to find a pan nicer than this!
This gorgeous pan was made by the Griswold Manufacturing Co in Erie, PA between 1939-1944.
It features the Griswold small logo on the underside, with “NO 7” above it, and “ERIE PA.” below, along with the pattern, 701 G. The markings are crisp and clear.
The cooking surface is approx 8-1/4″ in diameter, and it sits flat.
This skillet is in incredible condition. The original grinding marks are prominent on the interior walls and cooking surface. It has a beautiful, glossy, black patina. I don’t see any signs of use.
There are some pinpricks on the underside, likely from air bubbles during the casting process, and some very minor color variation – that is only visible in certain light – that resulted from the seasoning. There are some tool marks on the exterior rim opposite the handle. Please look at the pictures.
This incredible piece has been thoroughly cleaned, and heat seasoned with one coat of Crisco.
It is ready for immediate use or display!
