Product Description

This vintage skillet is the Iron Mountain brand, which was made by the Griswold Manufacturing Company in Erie, Pennsylvania in the 1940’s.

It is marked on the underside with the number 8, and the pattern number “1033 A”.  The writing is crisp and clear.

It is 15-3/8″ long, including the handle and 11-1/4″ wide at the pouring spouts, and has a heat ring. It is suitable for all cooktops!

The underside of the pan is lovely, and doesn’t have the pitting that is common to many vintage pans.

The cooking surface has some superficial signs of use – a few light scratches and some variation in texture. This will even out with additional use and seasoning. The interior walls also have some variation in texture, with a more noticeable section at about 1pm, if the pan were a clockface and the handle was at 6.

I have taken lots of photos, so please click on the magnifying glass to see them in detail.

This pan has been thoroughly cleaned, and heat-seasoned with one coat of our special mix of coconut & canola oils, and beeswax.

It is ready for immediate use or display!
