This No. 6 cast iron skillet was made by the Griswold Manufacturing Co in Erie, PA in the 1930’s.
It features the Griswold large block logo, with “CAST IRON SKILLET 6” above it, and “ERIE PA, U.S.A.” below, along with the pattern number 699 B. The writing is crisp and clear.
The skillet is 13-3/4″ long, and 9-5/9″ wide at the pouring spouts. It sits flat.
The original grinding marks are still visible on the interior walls, and the cooking surface has only light signs of use. The underside has some very light pitting, most likely from use over an old coal or wood stove. This pan has history! Please see photos.
This pan has been thoroughly cleaned, and heat seasoned with one coat of our special mixture of coconut & canola oils, and beeswax. It is ready for immediate use or display!
