This beautiful vintage skillet was made by the Griswold Manufacturing Co in Erie, PA in the 1930’s.
It features the Griswold large block logo, with “CAST IRON SKILLET 7” above it, and “ERIE PA, U.S.A.” below, along with the pattern number 701 B. The writing is crisp and clear.
The skillet is 14-7/8″ long, including the handle, and 10-1/2″ wide at the pouring spouts.
This pan is in excellent condition. There are some tool marks on the exterior wall opposite the handle, and some minor color variation. These are superficial, but I like to be thorough. Please see the pictures.
It has noticeable movement, and is recommended primarily for raised cooking surfaces.
This pan has been thoroughly cleaned, and heat seasoned with our special mixture of coconut & canola oils, and beeswax.
It is ready for immediate use or display!
