Griswold #7 skillet with the small logo. It was manufactured by the Griswold Mfg. Co. between 1939 and 1944. The pan is marked as shown in the photos – No. 7, the small Griswold logo, ERIE PA, and the product number 701 F. The pan sits flat.
The cooking surface of the pan does show some signs of use. There is one pockmark on the cooking surface at about 10:00 (if 6:00 is the handle). There is also some very superficial roughness here and there which will fill in with additional seasoning. Right now the pan has just the one layer of seasoning which I applied after cleaning. With additional use, this will be a lovely cooking surface.
The skillet measures 9-3/4″ in diameter. It is 14-1/2″ to the end of the handle. It is 2″ tall. It has been cleaned to bare iron and seasoned with one coat of Crisco vegetable shortening. It is ready for use and display.
