This is a rather gorgeous Griswold No. 5 cast iron skillet. It was made by the Griswold Manufacturing Company in Erie, PA between 1935 – 1959. On the underside, it has “NO. 5”, the Griswold small logo, “ERIE PA.” and the pattern number “724 M”. The lettering is crisp and clear.
It is 12 3/8″ long, including the handle, and 9″ wide at the pouring spouts. It is 1 7/8″ high. This pan sits flat.
Grind marks are prominent on the walls, and also visible on the cooking surface. There are a couple of pinpricks on the cooking surface and some light signs of use. Please examine the photos.
This pan has been cleaned to bare iron and seasoned with our special mixture of coconut and canola oils, and beeswax. It is ready for immediate use or display!
