This is a fun baking pan! I can’t say for sure what vintage this is, but I would guess it’s late 1800’s. It has 13 cups, in various shapes – hearts, stars, circles and is perfect for entertaining. It is marked “REID’S PAN” on one handle, and “DEC 1870” on the other. All writing is in raised letters. The underside is plain.
There aren’t a lot of these around, but they pop up from time to time and are always snapped up quickly when they do. This is the first one of these we’ve had since last year!
Being an older pan, there is a little more roughness in casting than you see in the pans from the 1900’s, but nothing unusual for its era. I have taken lots of pictures, so please click on the magnifying glass to see them in more detail.
This pan has been thoroughly cleaned, and heat seasoned with Crisco. It is ready for immediate use or display!
