This excellent pan is the Iron Mountain brand, which was made by the Griswold Manufacturing Company in Erie, Pennsylvania in the 1940’s. It is marked on the underside with the number 9, and the pattern number “1082”.
It is 16.25″ long, including the handle and 12.25″ wide at the pouring spouts. It’s 2.25″ high and the cooking surface is 8.75″ in diameter.
It sits flat as a pancake! The cooking surface is gorgeous.
There are some very light, superficial scratches that are visible from certain angles, but these will fill in with additional use and seasoning. There is a small indentation in the interior wall to the left of the handle and an indentation about the size of a pencil eraser on the underside. These do not impact the pan’s ability to be a great cooker, and I am only pointing them out to be thorough. Please examine the photos.
Iron Mountain is a firm favorite of Pan Handler founder Mary, and she cooks in them every day.
This pan has been cleaned to bare iron and heat seasoned with Crisco. It is ready for immediate use and display!
