This is a beautiful 6 cup muffin/popover pan, that was made by the Griswold Mfg. Co in Erie, Pennsylvania. This is variation 7 of at least 7 different variations of this pan. It is fun to try to collect all of the variations!
It is marked on the bottom “NO. 18 GRISWOLD ERIE, PA. U.S.A. 6141”. The writing is crisp and clear.
Each cup is approx 2-5/8″ in diameter and 1-3/4″ tall.
The casting is excellent. There are a couple of pinpricks on the bottom right cup – likely from air bubbles during the casting process. Please see the pictures.
These pans are awesome for all sorts of things in addition to muffins and popovers. Individual baked mac & cheese, individual meatloaves, Yorkshire pudding, egg sausage and potato cakes (see the blog on these with the recipe – delish!), to name a few. Use your imagination!
This pan has been thoroughly cleaned, and heat seasoned with one coat of our special mixture of coconut & canola oils and beeswax! We have spritzed a little Pam in the nooks and crannies as well.
It is ready for immediate use and display!
