Cute piece. At first I thought it was marked “Blessed Are Newark NJ,” but upon closer inspection (some of the letters are hard to make out), I can see it is marked “BLESS & DRAKE NEWARK NJ.” From what I read on the internet, it appears that this piece was made in the late 1800s to early 1900s, and was the trivet for a sad iron made by Bless & Drake.
The trivet measures 5-7/8″ long by 4-1/2″ wide at its widest. It sits flat on three stubby feet. It is clean and has had its surface protected with a spritz of Pam.
