This is a beautiful looking pan that looks almost brand new. Made by the Wagner Manufacturing Co in Sidney, Ohio between 1935 & 1959, this No. 10 cast iron skillet features the WAGNERWARE SIDNEY -O- logo and product number 1060 S.
The skillet is 16-3/16″ long, including the handle, 12-3/16″ wide at the pouring spouts and 2-3/8″ high.
This pan shows little use. The lettering is crisp and clear. Grinding marks are distinct on the interior walls. The cooking surface has a beautiful glossy black patina, and only very faint signs of use.
There are some pinpricks on the interior walls, likely caused by air bubbles during the casting process. If the handle was at 6 o’clock, one bubble is at 10 o’clock, and a couple more between 5 – 6. There are additional pinpricks on the underside, and some minor indentations, about the size of a pencil eraser. None of these impact the pan’s ability to either cook or display beautifully, and I only point them out in the interest of being thorough. Please examine the photos carefully.
This pan has movement and is only suitable for raised cooking surfaces. It will make a marvelous addition to any home with a gas burner.
This pan has been thoroughly cleaned, and seasoned with one coat of Crisco. It is ready for immediate use or display!
