This beautiful pan was made in Erie, Pennsylvania by the Griswold Manufacturing Co.
It features the Griswold large block logo, with with “CAST IRON SKILLET 14” above it, and “ERIE PA., U. S. A.” below, along with the pattern number, 718. It has a heat ring and the late handle.
The interior walls are stunning, with the original grinding marks prominent. The cooking surface also has prominent grinding marks and very very few signs of use, although there is a little pock mark about 3/4″ from the centre. There are also some scuff marks on the assist handle. Please see the pictures.
This pan is 16-1/2″ wide at the pouring spouts, and 20-7/8″ long, including the handle. It was built for families!
It doesn’t sit flat, there is noticeable movement when I press firmly on the rim. I would recommend this pan for raised cooktops such as gas only.
I have thoroughly cleaned this pan, and seasoned it with one coat of Crisco. It is ready for immediate use or display!
This pan comes with FREE SHIPPING to the 48 contiguous states, and reduced shipping elsewhere.
