These beautiful antique pans don’t come along every day! This pan is between 125 – 131 years old!
This is a second series ERIE skillet. ERIE were the line made before the Griswold logo appeared on the pans, and the second series were made between 1886-1892 by the Griswold Manufacturing Co in Erie, Pennsylvania.
It features “ERIE” on the underside of the pan, and “8 C” . The cooking surface is 8-7/8″ in diameter. It sits flat.
This pan is in great condition for its age! The cooking surface has a gorgeous, glossy patina and only a few light signs of use. The usual pitting is absent from the underside, although there are a couple of very shallow indentations on the right exterior wall. The interior wall has a noticeable scratch. This is superficial only and won’t impact this pan from being a wonderful cooker! Please examine the photos closely by clicking on the magnifying glass.
This pan has been thoroughly cleaned, and seasoned with one coat of our special mixture of coconut & canola oils, and beeswax.
It is ready for immediate use or display!
