This is a beautiful antique pan. Made by the Sidney Hollow Ware Co in Sidney, Ohio between 1887 – 1898, it features an outer heat ring, with the words “SIDNEY HOLLOW WARE Co., SIDNEY O” on the underside as well as “10” to indicate the size.
The cooking surface is 9-3/8″ in diameter. It sits flat.
This pan is in gorgeous condition considering it could be 130 years old! The cooking surface has a beautiful, glossy patina, with very, very few signs of use. There is some variation in color. This is not unusual for a pan of this age, and it will even out with additional use and seasoning.
I have taken lots of photos, so please click on the magnifying glass for more detail.
There is a small outward bow in the middle cooking surface. This is uniform in shape and appears to be part of the pan design. It doesn’t exceed the heat ring, however, and the pan sits flat.
This beautiful piece of American history has been thoroughly cleaned and seasoned with one coat of our special mixture of coconut & canola oils, and beeswax. It is ready for the next 100 years of use in your family!
