This is a beautiful old unmarked Griswold Number 7 gem pan, product number 945. It does not carry the Griswold name or product number, but it was manufactured by Griswold in 1880’s to the early 1900’s. There are three known variations. This is variation 2. As with many of the other Griswold gem and muffin pans, it is fun to try to collect all of the known variations!
The pan measures 11-3/4″ long by 7-5/8″ wide. There are 8 cups. The only marking on the bottom is No. 7. There are a few small casting flaws on the underside and top of the pan, but they are quite insignificant. This pan is in fantastic condition; especially considering its age. I took a lot of photos in daylight so that you can carefully examine the pan for yourself.
I cleaned this pan to bare iron and seasoned it with one coat of a mixture of Pam and Crisco vegetable shortening. It is ready for use and display!
