This skillet has raised ridges on the cooking surface which serve a couple of purposes: fat drains away from meat that you are cooking, and the ridges leave restaurant-quality char marks on your food.
This is a vintage Lodge grill pan. It has an interesting mark on the bottom. It has the Lodge “egg in the skillet” mark, but it also has a sweet little heart under the logo. I have not seen that before. It is marked with the Lodge logo, the heart, and USA 9TB.
The pan sits flat. It measures 11-1/4″ in diameter, and it is 2-1/2″ tall. I would call it a size 9 pan. It is larger than the round grill pans that Lodge currently produces.
I cleaned this piece to bare iron and seasoned it with one coat of Crisco vegetable shortening. It is ready for use!
This is a HEAVY piece and it will cost a pretty penny to ship.
