Martin cast iron skillet number 8. This pan has the “hamburger” logo. I believe that this pan was manufactured by Martin Stove & Range Company in Florence, Alabama in the 1930s.
The pan is marked as shown in the photos – MARTIN STOVE & RANGE CO FLORENCE ALA. The pan sits flat. It measures 10-1/4″ in diameter, and it is 2″ tall. It is 15″ to the end of the handle. There is a small casting blob on the underside of the handle and around part of the heat ring, as shown on the photos. This is a lovely pan and it will be a great cooker. This is a heavy and substantial #8 skillet.
The pan has been cleaned and seasoned with one coat of Crisco vegetable shortening. It is ready for use or display.
